QRTECH

History

QRTECH was started in 1997 and has its roots in real time-critical systems at Chalmers University of Technology. Since the beginning the company has been firmly focused on developing electronics and software for customers in industry.

The automotive industry quickly embraced the skills of QRTECH´s engineers, the reliability of the services provided and the predictability of QRTECH´s project management. At the beginning of the 2000s, QRTECH began expanding rapidly and since then the annual growth rate has been almost 20%.

The staff include graduate engineers and PhD graduates from universities throughout the country. Through the years a cornerstone in our development work while striving to be the best, has been our applied research collaborations with industry, academia and research institutes. This has allowed us to develop leading-edge products for our customers and will continue to do so in the future.

Our story

1997 - QRTECH started

The company is started as a response to the industry need of developing fault tolerant control systems.

1998 - First ECU developed and brought into series production.

2000 - Vehicle lab established

2001 - Adapting SIL levels from IEC61508 for automotive leading OEM

2003 - First automated testing system

2005 - 10 ECUs in series production

2004, 2005 DI Gasellföretag

Listed as DI Gasellföretag two years in a row

2006 - ISO9001 and ISO14001 certification

2006 - ECU exceed annual volume of 500.000 units

ECU developed for OEM exceed an annual volume of 500 k units

2007 - Hybrid research initiated

2008 - ISO26262 pre work

2010 - 30 ECUs in series production

2011 - ePower Nordic founded

ePower nordic founded as a joint venture with Kongsberg Automotive

2011 - Working with AUTOSAR

2013 - New larger facilities

Move to larger facilities with greatly increased lab space

2014 - Safe inductive charging research project

2014 - Volvo Car Engineering award of the year

QRTECH employee Simon Andersson receives "Engineering award of the year" from Volvo Car Corporation

2015 - Annual turnover exceed 100 MSEK

2016 - QRx development platform launched

2016 - EU TRACE project on electrical architectures for autonomous driving
